MOS-3 AND HUDSON-BERGEN LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT SYSTEM MAPPING

In 2002 BET Consultants was selected for expedited mapping of 12.5-mile extension of Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System.
The photography was obtained at 1" = 250' scale. The sixty photogrammetric controls were established using Leica dual frequency GPS equipment. In addition, several intervisible pairs were established for future use. The controls were densified by triangulation, and compilation of 500' wide and 63000' long corridor was completed.
The mapping was field edited for annotation of building type, curb and pavement types, as well as for utility identification.
The project was completed in eighteen weeks, as planned.
This mapping was extension of mapping completed by BET Consultants in 1993 – 1995 for Initial Operating System and Supplementary Operating System of Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. This mapping was also expeditiously completed by BET Consultants. The scope of original mapping was 20-mile corridor and 600' wide. |
